Sarah L. Forgy, DDS DADBA

Board Certified Dentist Anesthesiologist

Dr. Forgy is a Los Angeles native who earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California. She graduated at the top of her class at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry, where she received multiple merit-based scholarships, including the Friends of Dentistry Scholarship. She was also honored with the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology Horace Wells Senior Student Award and was inducted into the honors society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU).

Dr. Forgy completed her residency at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, a level 1 trauma center serving a medically complex and underserved population. This intensive training environment taught her to anticipate complications, adapt treatment plans for high-risk patients, and deliver safe anesthesia care under challenging circumstances. In her final year, she was named Chief Resident, where she further honed her leadership and clinical skills. During her residency, she also developed specialized training in treating pediatric and special needs patients—populations that remain close to her heart. She approaches every patient with the same care she would give a family member, understanding the profound trust they place in her hands.

Outside the office, Dr. Forgy enjoys spending time with family, friends, her fiancé and their two dogs—Zoey and Indy. She also enjoys exploring the city's culinary scene, traveling, and live music.

Dr. Forgy is certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. She is board certified by the American Dental Board of Anesthesiologists (ADBA) and is a member of the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists (ASDA), American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), and New York State Dental Association (NYSDA).

Drew Schimpf, DDS

Board Eligible Dentist Anesthesiologist

Dr. Schimpf is a New York–based dental anesthesiologist who began his training at the New York University College of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery. He went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Jacobi Medical Center, and, drawn to the critical role anesthesia plays in expanding access to care, he continued his advanced education at Jacobi by specializing in Dental Anesthesiology. In his final year, he was selected as Chief Resident, further refining his leadership, clinical judgment, and ability to manage high-acuity cases.

Throughout his training, Dr. Schimpf built a strong clinical foundation rooted in compassion and advocacy. His academic work includes multiple research projects aimed at reducing systemic barriers to pediatric care in the operating room—an area of particular importance given the persistent challenges families face in accessing safe anesthesia services. He has presented his work at the ASDA National Conference and was chosen to serve on the American Society of Dental Anesthesiologists Committee of Ethics and Bylaws. His involvement with the Committee of Interns and Residents further reflects his commitment to improving the healthcare system through collaboration and physician-dentist advocacy.

Outside the dental operatory, Dr. Schimpf enjoys spending time with his family and friends, writing and recording music, traveling, and hiking. His diverse interests, paired with his calm, thoughtful approach, support the patient-centered care he brings to every case.

Dr. Schimpf is certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. He is board-eligible with the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology and is a member of the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists (ASDA).
